Preferring One Another

Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another.

God’s love in us considers others first, it’s not surface but genuine. Preferring one another is the Christian way, God’s way.

Some Christians believe they have rights because someone did or said something to them that offended them, hurt them. So, they reserve their right not to walk in love with certain people.

So, their grudges, offenses and rights are put above the Word of God, that says in  1 Corinthians 13:5, love does not take into account a suffered wrong; it doesn’t hold grudges; it doesn’t take offense; it doesn't keep a record of wrongs that others do.

Prefer means to choose, to favor, to love, to pick, to give priority to, to honor, and to esteem.

When you prefer someone, you drop what you’re doing and go to the aid of another.

When you put others first, you’re sowing into their life, and you’ll reap back. People will come to your aid.
