Put the Word First

Hebrews 11:1 Faith gives substance to our hopes & makes us certain of realities we don’t see.

Faith gives us procession of what we believe for.

We have two natures the inside man and the outside man. The inside man is the spirit and the outside man is the body. To believe with the heart is to believe with the inside man. To base our belief on the physical is believing with the outside man.

Some Christians want the manifestation on the outside before they believe on the inside, but it doesn’t work that way. They’re allowing their bodies to dominate them. They’re believing what their body says rather than what God’s Word says.

Some put their feelings first, then they put their faith in those feelings second, and then the Word of God last. If you put feelings first, then you put the body first, because feelings are the voice of the body. That’s not walking by faith.

What about the 3 Hebrew boys? Did they put their body first? No! They wouldn’t worship Nebuchadnezzar’s god, so the punishment was to be put in the fiery furnace. So, they were thrown in the furnace expecting (had faith) that God would rescue them. And He did.

So, God shows up when faith is applied. Everything we could ever want, or need, has been paid for and is available at any time.

So, reverse the order, put the Word of God first, your faith in God’s Word second and your feelings last.
