Faith Gives Us Possession

Romans 5:5 Hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us.

Smith Wigglesworth said, “I’m not moved by what I see. I’m not moved by what I feel. I’m moved by what I believe.”

Faith gives us possession of what we believe.

A prayer request came to our prayer group, about a man at the Steel Plant. He had hot metal poured into his shoes. The Dr’s report said, “He may lose his feet or at best never walk again.” They gave him a 10% chance. I said to the group, “Let’s take the 10% and believe God for him to be healed.” He was healed, he didn’t lose his feet, and he walked.

Some people would say, “Well, it was going to turn out like that any way.”  NO!! That’s a lie from the pit! They don’t realize it but they’re trying to steal your faith, trying to prevent you from being disappointed.

Have you ever been told, don’t expect too much, so you won’t be disappointed. It doesn’t matter what the results, you can still be disappointed. So, you could expect a little bit and be a little disappointed or you could expect a lot and be a lot disappointed.

But in Christ Jesus and faith in His Word we never have to be disappointed. And do you know why? Because He always comes through for us, He always answers our prayers, and He’s always true to His Word. Our faith gives us possession of that.
