Grateful

Psalm 138 To You, Lord, I give my whole heart, a heart filled with praise, for I am grateful; before the gods, my heart sings praises to You and You alone.  I bow before You, looking to Your holy temple, and praise Your name, for Your unfailing love and Your truth; for You have placed Your name and Your word over all things and all times. On the day I needed You, I called, and You answered and infused my soul with strength. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me. The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever.

I’m grateful for Jesus and what He did for me.  I’m grateful I heard Him calling my name.  I’m grateful that I answered Him, believed in Him and that He saved me.  I’m grateful for the Word of God and the revelation it gives me and the Spirit of God that lives in me.

I’m grateful God saved me from death at 17 years old.  I’m grateful I was at band practice 3 years later to meet my husband, Gene Hollis.  I’m grateful we have 3 great kids with families that are in church.  I’m grateful at 59 years old God saved my life again. I’m grateful I had 40 years with Pastor Gene.

I’m grateful God brought us back to Alabama.  I’m grateful for the faith He put in us to believe and trust.  I’m grateful God worked out every detail for us to come back.  I’m grateful we had a house to come back to.  I’m grateful for the friends from Alabama that came and helped us.  I’m grateful for the kindness Alabama City Church showed us giving a baby shower for Jill.

I’m grateful for Pastor Gene’s vision for Bethesda Christian Center. I’m grateful we had favor with the bank. I’m grateful for the people that are here and for all that have come through.   I’m grateful for your love, faithfulness, loyalty, kindness and strength.  I’m grateful that you stayed.  I’m grateful that you have supported me and stood with me to build God’s church and fulfill the vision God gave Pastor Gene.

I’m grateful I have my own home.  I’m grateful God placed me there.  I’m grateful for all the furnishings.  I’m grateful for the people that have helped me with it.

I’m grateful for our founding fathers and what they had the courage to do. I’m grateful that I live in a free nation.  I’m grateful that I know how to pray for those who don’t. I’m grateful we have a place to worship God together. And most of all, I am grateful to God Almighty Who made all this and more possible.
