Draw Near

James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

The benefits of drawing near to God are intimacy with Him, guidance, safety, peace, strength, joy and agreement with His will for your life. When you set out to seek God, God sets out to meet you.

So, if we want more of God in our life, if we want His guidance in our life, if we want His safety in our life, if we want His peace in our life, if we want His strength in our life, if we want His joy in our life and if we want to be in agreement with His will we will have to draw near to Him.

We are the ones who determine the level of our relationship with God, it’s not God, but us.

I’ve heard preachers, teachers and evangelists all through the years say, “God is just waiting on you.” God is ready for us; He’s waiting for us to take that step toward Him.
