How Close

1 Corinthians 1:9 God chose you to have an intimate relationship with His Son Jesus Christ.

God wants you to fellowship with Him. He wants you to walk and talk with Him. To talk about the things of life. He wants you to draw near to Him.

God wants to be close to you, in an intimate, ongoing relationship.

When we spend time with God, it puts us in a position of peace and rest so we can hear His guidance for our life. Putting God first, sitting with Him, reading His words, and listening to His voice gets us closer and closer to Him.

But you know what … God leaves it up to us. It’s our choice.

He’s always available and He’s waiting for us to come to Him. It’s up to us how much time we spend in His Word, in prayer, and meditating. It’s up to us how close we want to get. We get to choose how close we want to be to God!
